A Scheme for legal services to disaster vicitims through legal services authorities

Beneficiary:

Victims of natural and man-made disasters, including individuals and families who have suffered loss of life, livelihood, property, shelter, or are otherwise placed under circumstances of undeserved want due to disasters such as floods, earthquakes, droughts, industrial accidents, ethnic violence, or similar calamities

Benefits:

Provision of free legal services and legal aid through Legal Services Authorities, including assistance in accessing relief and rehabilitation measures, supervision of relief distribution, help in restoration of documents and property, facilitation of compensation, insurance and debt relief, support for housing reconstruction, healthcare, counseling, protection of women, children, elderly and persons with disabilities, and coordination with government agencies to ensure timely recovery and rehabilitation
